My gym trainer (and friend) is from Japan, and still has family there. Her family has been hit hard by the earthquakes continuing to shake the country, and is having a difficult time locating everyday supplies (such as food and gasoline). In her effort to help her family, she created, “Don’t Give Up Tohoku, Japan!”

Special T-shirts have been designed (see the design to the top-left) which are selling for $20. There will also be a fundraising event held in conjunction with Key Largo Fitness and Tanning’s quarterly fitness launch at their West gym location. Along with T-shirts, there will be a ‘healthy’ bake sale, and a raffle of amazing gifts (like a 60 minute Swedish massage, and a $40 certificate to Osaka Japanese Restaurant – my personal favorite sushi restaurant here in CoMo) to help raise money. The best part about the fundraiser: all proceeds will be donated to the Tohoku prefecture!

I will be helping with the fundraiser event at Key Largo on Saturday, April 16th, from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. Come stop by, work out, and donate!

I love keeping busy! I am currently working on site designs for Mike Trial and Operation Totally Buff. Plus, I’m putting the finishing touches on Dr. Glenn Washer’s website and AKA:yoLa.

AKA:yoLa provides “Custom Independent Book Publishing, Graphic Arts & Photography Services” to the Columbia area community. I am excited to not only be working with a local book publisher, but to again work with my former boss, Yolanda Ciolli. She and I began collaborating on a redesign of her website late 2010, and have since launched the new design. The site now features unique and individual pages for each of her authors.

Yolanda introduced me to Mike Trial and Dr. Glenn Washer. I have just started working on the design for Mr. Trial, and Dr. Glenn Washer’s website was recently launched this month. Keep your eyes out for updates!

Operation Totally Buff is a pet project between myself, and my dear friend Heather Physioc. (Plug: check out her websites: ThePhysiocs.com and FiftyTwoCakes.com!) We used to joke about becoming “Totally Buff” while working out at the gym. Based on this cheeky tag line, Heather had the idea to create a social effort to help people with all varieties of fitness goals stay focused and achieve. We hope to launch our website mid-2011.
